The solution for catblock incomplete install is installing bash:
apt-get install bash
The preinstall and postinstall catblock scripts need bash, so installing it immediately cures the situation.

So it is another problem. Mine looks like the conversation app freezing. After reopening, whole conversation list is completely empty. Maybe it is blocked by the frozen process, so turning the N900...

Turn off the phone and turn on - the messages will be there again.
Let us know which apps do you have installed - comparing the lists can let us find the one which causes the problem.

Turning the phone off and on fixes the thing for me - all messages are again visible.
BTW, part of the widgets vanishes again and again from the desktop.
No one will be bored with N900... :-/

Good idea, however you always transmit to a radio, so usually you can easily find an empty frequency with this radio, and then set the transmiter to it.

I see it works way better than with pure diagonal: if the device is used during charging, the voltage goes up with real values - surely there are many dbus events. It's easy to see it with zoom 0.5....
