Hey all,

Hope everyone had a good holiday break. I updated to the latest CSSU update on 28 Dec. This being the holidays, I have not had need for the FM transmitter until today. I ran out, and when I got in the car, I turned on the FMTX, but found in short order that the station I had it tuned to (101.7MHz) was not set. I looked at the FMTX icon on the desktop, and found that it was set to 76.00 MHz...So I went in to settings and tried to adjust the frequency. When I set it to 101.7, clicked Done, then clicked Save, it came back and said "Unable to use fm transmitter."

Anyone know of a fix for this? I have never seen the transmitter go as low as 76MHz, in the past. The modules appear to be loaded:

Code:
fmtx_si4713 27840 2
videodev 28160 2 omap34xxcam_mod,fmtx_si4713
compat_ioctl32 832 1 fmtx_si4713
Any ideas?

Thanks,

I updated to the latest version of CSSU Thumb this morning and tested FMTX. FMTX (including changing and saving frequency) seems to work fine for me.

For what it's worth, I have the old Jacekowski.org FMTX fixes installed. I do remember that if you miss an installation step (http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=60567), the newly accessible 76 - 88 MHz range will be visible but inoperable.

IDK whether this makes sense, so see it as a wild guess:
I ran once into similar situation (but was different). Out of the sudden I could could not get fmtx to transfer to my car. Cannot remember if bandwidth was japanese (down to 76) but for sure I could change frequency. But that did not help. Neither did a reboot.

So I did a full power cycle (shut down, pull battery, push power button for more than 3 seconds, reinsert battery, power up). After that it worked.
Worth a try?

Did not work for me. I'm going to take a look at that thread posted above and see if there is anything there that may have gotten untweaked.

This worked perfectly for me. I was able to change freqs and it fired up as normal. Note that FMTX-Faker is in the extras-devel repo...

Same disabled FMTX here.
Output of osso-product-info identical to kraker_abhy.
