Yeah found some time for some maemo-learning :P

Well if one teaches me how to upload to repositories that would be awesome. Right now I have no clue uploading to extras-devel but in the end I hope to put all of this in the repositories.

ofcourse I looked at that but that's only meant for python things? Anyway that will be saved for the next free weekend

Well I am bit stuck at that I compiled it from source but source has to be uploaded to autobuilder or something? Have to admit I didn't read many yet about uploading to extras-devel but right now I have made package with dpkg -b

so my source package kinda looks like
|-DEBIAN/
|--postinst
|--prerm
|--control
|-opt/
|--tcpdump/
|---tcpdump

I preserved all structure, in case I would needed it for repositories upload, which I had in mind for another weekend. Seems pypackager is the way to go?

Anyway this is waaay offtopic

Hi mr_pingu,

Can you please make a tar.gz file of your tcpdump & libpcap source directories ?

I'm currently working on your ettercap-ng building (already made) but also want to update tcpdump & libpcap, since you already do it, can you provide me sources please ...

Well in the post above I explained I made these debs the dirty way. I downloaded sources from tcpdump.org, compiled the binaries, packaged them manually with dpkg-deb -b give the folder structure. Now I learned it shouldn't be made that way.

Conclusion: I did not make a proper debian-source-package, sorry.

Looking at : man dpkg-deb, it look like the -b refer to 'debian' directory to create package, this is the 'debian' directory and it's content I need ...

Do you mean this directory doesn't exist at your side after package generation ???
