Hi
I've just installed the Maliit Keyboard (package maliit-keyboard)
Unfortunately, the Maliit Keyboard isn't showing up, I'm still getting the old stock Maemo vkb.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance.

I did
Code:
apt-get install maliit-keyboard
As this package IIRC replaces (or something like that) maliit-keyboard-quick

Maliit-keyboard isn't mature yet (0.82) use nemo-keyboard instead. To test it use qt-components-10-examples, miniature or butaca

I've just realized that the maliit/nemo keyboard works with qml apps only. Is there any way to replace the stock kbd with maliit/nemo keyboard (to use it system-wide, in conversations, xterm etc)?

There is, but it's buggy. It pops up by itself and refuses to go away some times until restart. Search the maliit site for two environment variables to set to enable GTK integration.

I did
Code:
export GTK_IM_MODULE=Maliit
export QT_IM_MODULE=Maliit
maliit-server -software -bypass-wm-hint
But still the old vkb is showing up

having maliit as system-wide vkb would be beyond awesome.

Feel free to contribute to this bug https://bugs.maliit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=84 if you want stock Hildon apps working with a VKB.
