It's great to see that everything goes OK, please keep me posted by PM if anyone has problems receiving his device.

I tought that it would be the safest way, since the device had a firmware that was older than the previous of 39-5. With Kubuntu 10.04 update worked like a charm with the instructions linked above. Note, however that One Click Flasher will erase everything, so backup if you already have some important data on device!

I'm curious about the leaked firmware, too. Any comments about it would be appreciated much!
My update didn't work. Had lots of issues. Currently my N950 is not responding / charging. I ordered a battery and charger and will attempt to replace the battery and than see if I can try flashing again. The problem I got was something about not being able to erase the MMC secure. The battery drained during these attempts and now is phone is at a battery loop cycle that never charges past 1%.

For anyone trying to flash your N950, make sure it's at 100%.

Sorry to hear about problems on update Hopefully the new battery will resolve the problem.

It is indeed important, that the battery is fully charged before update.

AND DON'T UPDATE YOUR N950 OTA from the pre-release firmware (the one with developer edition all over the place)

It won't do anything irreversible, but it will save you a lot of frustration because many people (including me) reported non-bootable device after OTA upgrade.

Yes, one click flasher and so on is a way to go. OTA from pre-release always result in bootloop.

Got my n950 and did exactly the same thing.

So thanks for the device, this will turn out to be more fun than I thought

With one click flasher problems this page might be helpfull (at least with erasing problems): http://intohand.com/post.php?s=2011-...-23rd-oct-2011

As always, you are solely responsible for your actions, so think before you type and hit enter

I wish all of you best of luck with N950 updates!

But prelease with "Developer Edition" looks so cute, I am not going to flash

Is there a reason why everybody links the 39-5 (PR1.1) firmware OCF?
Why not directly flash officialPR1.2 (02-6) from
http://harmattan-dev.nokia.com/release/N950/firmware
or PR1.3 with that flasher version?

One more nice "official" link:
http://www.developer.nokia.com/Commu...roubleshooting
( found from http://www.developer.nokia.com/searc...e/?k=n950&l=50 )

more hard to find

I am loving the N950 so far. What a great interface. I just learned I'll be doing some international travel soon. No way I will travel with N950, so I'm going to buy an N9 so I have that too!
