100% hw. and yes, the problem is probably poor soldering combined with mechanical stress by bending PCB when pressing keys on kbd (RAPUYAMA and friends are 80% under the 3*4 rectangle "ECNY"). This issue will be different on Neo900 since we use a module and no fbga chip for modem.

Short notice: if that would be possible (real dual: both SIM online), count me in as a pre-orderer
(but I doubt the compatibility with fremantle?)

Sorry, Option is a single radio module, no dual-online support, we would need TWO modules for that (though I wonder when some manufacturer will finally pick up on my idea to do timesharing multitasking on the radio just like we do on every CPU nowadays. I probably should patent the idea)

cheers

There is a GSM service that allows to have two numbers on one sim. I wonder if that could be abused for this. (fool the phone that there is one sim with two numbers inside)

That's not the same thing. A common use case for dual-SIM operation is, one SIM for voice and another for data (usually from two different carriers, but not necessarily)... or one UK and one German (for example) SIM (definitely different carriers).

Won't work, this is done by assigning two numbers to one IMSI afaik, and the SIM has one IMSI only. For true dual SIM dual online you need two radios since each SIM might use completely different carrier, band, whatnot.

Wow, this is the first time I've noticed GLONASS mentioned. Then I searched the thread and indeed, it has been mentioned before.

That and this has pushed me over the edge. Definitely count me in for €500. Heck, count me in for €550, even if I starve for a month!

Idea: A sensor that reports whether the stylus is inserted or not. Could be an additional light sensor or magnet sensor even if we have to stick a little magnet on the stylus ourselves.
