I tried to access harmattan-dev and a popup showed up that said if you access the harmattan developer website on an actual harmattan device, use two fingers to scroll. So I thought maybe that's the default behaviour of overflown elements in html. So I tried it on a textarea here on tmo and voila. There was never a textare bug. Just nobody cared to mention how the harmattan browser works.

reminds me off "searching emails/contacts/artists" on the N900... just need to start typing, but it took me months to figure it out.
Hidden features are not the best way to design something though..

Wow, it works!
This must be one of the better hidden features of Harmattan.

Thanks a lot for sharing this piece of information!

Yes, that's the default behavior in old iOSes 4.x- too.

It's a little hard but you have to try not to move your fingers apart. Try making a parallel move. It helps to hold the phone with one hand and try to scroll with the other hand's middle and index finger

Thanks, nice finding. Unfortunately clashes pretty badly with MyMoves if you have two finger gestures configured.

What do you mean by "use two fingers to scroll"? I guess I don't understand it, but for me its the same as one finger scrolling except it tries to zoom.

Try going to pastebin.com select any paste there which has long text message and in the raw text section, you can scroll text in this area using two fingers.
