As what I said, I can't update.Packages missing, I don't know how to do next.Besides, some application catalogues of my device,it appears "404 not found".

How to install libvte4 and libvte-common on my n900?
Anybody knows?

what repos were enabled? try in x-terminal first "apt-get update" then "apt-get upgrade", and "apt-get install -f"

and seems that you use broken catalogues, just try to disable or delete them

As murik said. Just to clarify, both your missing packages are in extras (all flavours). Make sure you have at least extras-testing enabled to use with cssu-thumb.

It looks like you are using wedropit and not the correct repository.
Please don't use the mirrors they can be out of date and are for backup purposes.
Also you have spelt "repository" incorrectly which will not help either.

Extras-devel

Nokia applications is configured this way:
Code:

We adress: "https://downloads.maemo.nokia.com/fremantle/ssu/apps/"
Distribution:"./"
Components: " "
Nokia SSU is configured this way:

Distribution:"./"
Components: " "
Ovi
Code:
Name: "OVI"
We adress: "https://downloads.maemo.nokia.com/fremantle1.2/ovi/"
Distribution:" ./"
Components: " "
CSSU-testing
Code:
Name: "Community SSU (Testing)"
We adress: "http://repository.maemo.org/community-testing/"
Distribution:"fremantle"
Components: "free non-free "
CSSU-Thumb
Code:
Name: "Community SSU (Testing-Thumb)"
We adress: "http://maemo.merlin1991.at/cssu/community-thumb"
Distribution:"fremantle"
Components: "free non-free"
For extras-testing and extras-devel, I would recommend you to read the links sixwheeledbeast gave you.

Edit: Fixed a typo. Guys I wonder why it has fremantle1.2 in the repo ovi address? Is there a 1.3 or just "fremantle" too? I never touched this after reflash of pr1.3.1. Also there are 3 distributions for extras. Fremantle, fremantle-1.2 and fremantle-1.3. Just wondering

AIUI, extras-devel >= extras-testing >= extras. IOW, if you have extras-testing then there is little point having extras as well (and higher up the hierarchy).

Most users should not use extras-devel as it contains development (i.e. by definition potentially unstable) versions of packages. Mr_pingu has mentioned it but it is important to emphasize and easy to miss.

That's true, but I have a few more repos on my list such as SDK and Tools and Gidzzz thumb repo and also CSSU-Devel but that isn't recommended for day to day use so I only listed the "safe" ones
