One day your current system will die, forcing an upgrade and you will grumble along as you relearn the new UI, but you will get used to it. And you will probably use that same windows 8 machine to complain about how much windows 2020 sucks. Or your kids will.

I've installed Kubuntu on my SSD a week ago, and moved Windows 7 to an old HDD - just in case (and hey I've paid for it). Yeah it's not without glitches, but I sure as hell won't let a paid OS dictate what I may or may not install on my computer.
