Wow.... I havent seem this thread, I bought my n900 from a guy on ebay about 2.5 years ago and i wasnt able to get the code ...
a little hand guys thank you.

when i run john the ripper i get this
Loaded 1 password hash (Traditional DES [128/128 BS SSE2])
No password hashes left to crack (see FAQ)

You should have noticed and written down your lock code on first run
