Alas, I got it on the summer sale, so I'd take a loss getting a new one. On the other hand, they haven't actually processed the refund from that summer sale yet, so perhaps they'd refund me $500...

Thanks _again!_. The rootsh install worked, but the two other installs failed on dependencies. (I presume since I don't have wireless-tools) iwlist / iwconfig doesn't show anything...

Thanks again--I really appreciate it! But I don't think I can use .deb files--no access to the dpkg command from the command-line until rootsh is installed, so it's kind of a chicken-or-egg problem....
