Hello
Yesterday finally I got my dream phone - Nokia N950 in perfect condition for very cheap price. It was running PR 1.0.

I wanted to flash PR 1.2 first and then PR 1.3... Why ever I wanted to do it?!!

I ran WinOCF on Windows - failed on erasing MMC. I flashed manually using Flasher on Linux - failed on erasing MMC too... without --erase options - flashed successfully. But device didn't boot anymore!

Now whenever I flash, I get sfdisk error and mmc isn't flashed. Device boots with warranty warning, but MMC is empty and not working. --no-preserve didn't help as well.

I tried to export partitions with Ubiboot - first Ubiboot says "eMMC device not found" and then says "partitions exported" - but PC doesn't show any new partitions...

This is when I use --no-preserve option...

I am so unlucky. Flashing, normal flashing was the first thing I did on this phone. And I broke it...

Sometimes device flashes and works, but always without eMMC.

Sometimes it's like this.

And now tried flashing again with --no-preserve. It's just stuck on flashing MMC...

After flashing PR 1.3, mmc still fails to flash, but situation is worse. Just stuck on Nokia logo, no matter what I do.

I broke my best and most expensive Nokia phone I ever bought.

I am not sure if you broke it or that the eMMC flash has gone bad. To me it sounds more like a HW problem unfortunately.

Maybe just try to use older linux. I don't know if it makes a difference.
Just take the jessie 32 bit image from here:

https://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=99093

I could update my N950 from 1.2 to 1.3.

You could also try to use an older flasher (3.11.5) maybe it is needed for pr1.0.

Flashing fails at different places each time one runs the flasher, but here is a typical example:

Update content failed to verify against cert: SW certificate not updated
bb5_rdc_cert_read failed

I already tried the older flasher 3.11.5. What is fun, --erase-mmc=secure successed with it, but flashing MMC still fails. --erase-user-data=secure also fails. I even tried using Windows , the same. I will try the Debian Jessie.
