You can use xterminal but that would take a long time and its very complicated. I use GPE file manager, and it works just like a file explorer, just make sure you dont mess up your other system files

I finally got it fixed! I used GPE file manager, and manually navigated to the folder /home/user/.blackgrounds and deleted everything in that folder. I was able to change the background right away....

Your phone probably automatically changes it to an mms. SMS messages cannot send pics. Never have, and never will. Unless its those old black and white pics which are actually made out of text..
