And i hope N9 IS for average users, because else there is no future for maemo. It will be another n900,...

i'd say linuxdrivers are not from hardwaremanufactor its community work.
There are only few companies like intel that really provide open source drivers.

The only reason why chuck Norris hasn't revealed N9 Specs is because he IS N9 himself!
And that is the reason why you will never own a N9, because no one owns Chuck Norris ;)

It is exactly what Elop wants to do. Use symbian for "lowend" phones.
But for god sake you can't compete with iphone having symbian as OS. So "highend" systems need something different than symbian.

Harmatan is not MeeGo. thought it is supposed to be MeeGo API Compatible, but since they didn't get the blessing from FOSS Community i doubt it.
Also, WP7, they didn't need to write the UI for...

I think, the problem is, You all hate MS^^
Win7 is a nice sytsem along with WP7 ;) Sure it has enough room for improvement, but i like it.
Have you tried MeeGo with current Ui on smartphones?...

As i already said, symbian is nogo. they need something new, and of course to build something new they must destroy the old thing.
Changes are not easy and only the time will show, was it correct...

They are supporting symbian until 2016 because they can't just stop^^ They want to make the transision as smooth as possible.
And as i already said, they need a partner to compete with google and...

I have seen meego 1.2 its by far not ready, it just sucks i was disapointed as i saw "how far" they come. i think they didn't do much for smartphones, again NOT Elops fault. The way it goes, maybe...

Look, N9 with hwkb was "canceled" because the software was not ready. If it were the way "old" NOKIA want, they would release N9 with hwkb...
